ART

The art gallery is situated inside the Mabunji center at Borroloola. This gallery is a place where various local talented artists display their artwork for sale.

There is a variety of different artifacts including didgeridoos, paintings, boomerangs, shell necklaces, local indigenous Yijan products such as coasters, ties, umbrellas etc.

Below are some examples that have already been sold.  If you wish to obtain Art from these or other local Artists Please contact Mabunji, and we will direct you as to where the Artists or their dealers may be contacted.

The reptiles also they are a food source for the coastal people as well, you see a sand goanna, a blue tongue lizard, along neck freshwater turtle and a porcupine on the inside you see a painting of two sea turtles they are green back turtles and also a painting of a dugong (sea cow) which is a food source for the coastal and island people of WA NT and Northern Queensland
